I have three boys. Together, they are like a barrel of monkeys – bouncing on the bed, bumping into furniture, bounding through the house. They leave a trail of evidence behind them – shoes, towels, toys, pillows, backpacks – so you know where they’ve been.
When you get them alone, my middle son remains bouncy, but with more purpose, like a kangaroo with somewhere to go. In the water he becomes a dolphin – sleek, friendly, and agile with a huge grin on his face. He’d like to have a themepark/ zoo/ aquarium funland when he grows up.
My oldest son loves sharks – every school report for 4 years was about a different shark. He is always vigilant and alert, looking for signs of distress or unfairness, ever hungry for more knowledge. His intellectual quests never end and someday he wants to be a marine biologist, perhaps for his brother’s aquarium!

Actually she is a chatter box. I heard a story this week about a friends noisy parrot. My sister had some large white birds that made alot of noise so I think she is like a chattering parrot.
Dauntless and inquisitive, my four-year-old little penguin is well known to approach any newcomer to make introductions, ask questions, and enchant his new friend. When I was going for a walk with my now four year old a couple of years ago, a watching neighbor observed, it’s like walking a cat. I totally agreed and he has proven many ways he is like a cat. When walking he can’t be rushed and he never walks in a straight line, he just goes where there is something interesting. He loves to nap in the sun. He is much more of an observer than a noisy kid. He watches and takes it all in.
