Hunt down some fun and join in one of the many local Easter Egg Hunts!

I love to see my kids, full of anticipation, empty baskets in hand, and ready to spring into action for an Easer egg hunt!  It just doesn’t get old. 

Easter is on April 24 this year, but many of the local hunts are scheduled before the holiday!  Grab the kids, a basket or two, and have a happy hunt!

Easter Egg Hunts in the Grand Rapids Area:

April 16, 9-10 a.m., Kentwood Jaycee Easter Eggstravaganza @ Kentwood Activities Center (355 48th Street Kentwood MI) The event will include an Easter Egg hunt outside with a visit with the Easter Bunny, crafts, music, and quality family time for free all morning.   The even runs in all types of weather.

April 16, 10 a.m., Underwater Egg Hunt @ Holland Aquatic Center (550 Maple Ave Holland MI) Doors open at 9:30 a.m &  Egg Hunt starts at 10:00 a.m. $5 per person – Members get in FREE! Bring your own basket (plastic with holes) or purchase one here for $1.

April 16, 10 – 11;30 a.m., Easter Eggstravaganza @ St. Mark Lutheran School & Preschool (1934 52nd St SE Grand Rapids, MI)  Egg hunt for children ages 2-12 and their parents. The event will include crafts, games, story corner, face painting, balloon animals and will end with an egg hunt. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m.

April 16, 11:30 a.m., Easter Egg Hunt @ Byron Center Township COmmunity Center  (2120 76th St Byron Center MI) A fun filled family Easter egg hunt and pizza lunch to welcome Spring! Come and meet the Easter Bunny! The
hunt will take place outside weather permitting. Age: 3-8, Cost: $4 Resident/ $6 Non-Resident, $3 Parent Lunch, Registration Deadline: April 2, 2011

April 16, 1-3 p.m., Easter Eggstravaganza @ Georgetown Elementary School (3909 Baldwin St. Hudsonville MI) Enjoy a 5000 egg hunt for kids 0-4th Grade and activities for all ages. Inflatables, zip-line and rock climbing wall from Springhill Camp! Playgrounds, face painting, color pages, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks! Rain or shine!

April 23, 10 a.m.,Garlfield Park Neighborhood Association Easter Egg Hunt @ Garfield Par, (332 Burton St. SE Grand Rapids, MI) Egg hunt for children 1-10 (bring your own basket), face-painting, games, fire truck and a visit by the Easter bunny.

April 23, 10-12 a.m., 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Victory Church (6175 Northland Dr NE Rockford, MI) Over 5,000 eggs are gathered by the children with a time of fun in the church on the largest bounce land and other fun activities for children infants through 5th grade. 6th grade through 12th will have a special section for a chance to find the golden egg!  Registration begins at 10 am. Children must be accompanied by an adult and must register to participate in the event.

April 23, 10 a.m., Blythefield Easter Egg Hunt @  Blythefield CRC (6350 Kuttshill Dr. Rockford, MI) Children ages 3-10 are invited to hunt for eggs, participate in games, make a craft and listen to the Easter story. Bring a basket and dress to go outside for the egg hunt. For more information call 866-2962.

April 23, 10 a.m., Hudsonville Reformed Church Easter Egg Hunt @ Hudsonville Reformed Church (3950 Highland Dr. Hudsonville, MI)
Please meet in the Family Center. Dress according to Michigan weather! We are looking for a lot of little kids (3rd grade and younger).

April 23, 10:30 a.m., Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Barnes & Noble Rivertown Crossing (3700 Rivertown Parkway Ste. 2058, Grandville, MI) Be sure to meet just outside out Children’s Department for our annual Easter egg hunt! Age appropriate for ages 2 to 6 years.

April 23, 10-11 a.m., Ivanrest Church Easter Egg Hunt @Ivanrest Church (3777 Ivanrest Ave SW) Join us for refreshments, prizes and fun!!  Your children ages 10 and under will hunt for 1000′s of eggs. In case of bad weather the hunt will be moved indoors.

April 23, 10 – 3 p.m., Family Easter Event @ Frontline (4411 Plainfield Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI) This will be an ongoing egg hunt and open house.  Click on the “Family Easter Event” link above to register.

April 23, 11-12 a.m., Alaska Community Easter Egg Hunt @ Alaska Baptist Church (7240 68th St. Caledonia MI) Bring your whole family to the biggest, most fun Easter Egg Hunt in town. It’s egg-citing! It’s eggstra special! Best of all, it’s got egg-cellent prizes! Plus, you can enter to win a new bike! Join us Easter weekend!

April 23, 11 a.m., City of Walker Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Walker Ice and Fitness Center (4151 Remembrance Rd) Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 2-8 Pictures with the Easter Bunny and more!

April 23, 11 a.m., Easter Egg Hunt @ Central Park  (Grand Haven, MI) A fun free event for kids up to 10. Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt and Independent Bank sponsor this yearly Easter Egg Hunt. Over 5,000 Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes.

April 23, 11-1 p.m., Egg Hunt @ Grace Lutheran Church (150 50th St.Wyoming, MI)   The egg hunt  is for 5th grade and younger. Please bring a basket to collect your eggs in. We will also be having a Lunch during that time and that is open to all ages!
April 23, 11:30 a.m., Easter Palooza Family Event @ Fair Haven Ministries(2900 Baldwin Hudsonville, MI) Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to join us for this FREE event with lunch, bounce houses, games, candy, and more! An outdoor Easter egg hunt is scheduled for 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm.
