Another favourite of ours would be Versluis Park in Plainfield – there is an admission for this one as it has a beach, lifeguards etc but it’s well worth it as it’s so clean and safe. A free alternative is Myers Lake Park in Rockford and that has a lake to swim in but no lifeguards. Both have great playground equipment and picnic tables.
Thanks for the great listing of wonderful choices in the area !! Good job !
The splash pad at Lamar Park is fantastic, your kids will love it! I take my 2 and 3 year old weekly through the summer… Great way to keep them busy!
I can’t wait to take my kids to Roselle Park. Thanks for the great suggestion, Jen!!
That is a fun place.. my kids like to go up the silo and look out the windows… or if you are not brave enough there is a tv at the bottom that shows the same view…
Great to know! My daughter is very weary of going down hills, and this sounds nice
great – thanks for this… I have been looking for somewhere to take my 4 year old!
