Flick’s Family Film Festival – FREE MOVIES FOR KIDS at Celebration! Cinemas. Daily through the end of the month. Kids (12 and under) receive free admission for each film listed and it’s only $3.50 for adults!
Free Fall Movies at Goodrich Quality Theaters – 9 & 10 am Saturday and Sunday through October. Free for all ages. Tickets are first come, first serve. Intermission with every show. At the Ada Lowell 5, Hastings 4, Holland 7, Grand Haven 9, Kalamazoo 10 and more.
Kevin Kammeraad and Friends Puppent Theatre at ArtPrize – Daily showtimes (30 minutes each): 11:30am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:00pm, 5:30pm, and 7:00pm through October 9, 2011. Kevin will explore the wonder of imagination through puppetry, music, and movement, bringing families together through laughter and play. Outside of the GR Children’s Museum in Monument Park.
Crane Orchards in Fennville – at 6054 124th Ave. – Fennville, MI 49408 - Tel: (269) 561-8651. They have a 15-acre Corn Maze, a vortex tunnel to walk through, hayrides and a cow train. Cow Train ($2) and Hay Rides ($3). Open weekends in October from 12-5pm as long as U-Pick is open.
Koetsier’s Fall Indoor/Outdoor Fun Area for Kids- Fridays & Saturdays through October. Their play area and hayrides start the weekend of Sept 16 and 17 and continue each weekend thru the end of October. Admission to play area is $6 per child and includes unlimited play time,pumpkin painting, popcorn and a Halloween prize. The play area is all inside so weather doesn’t matter! Hayrides are $3 per person and includes a 20 minute ride, an apple to eat while riding, a stop at the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin and other education/fun stops along the way. Blandford Nature Center’s Fall Harvest Festival – Saturday, October 15 [10a-5p.] Horse-drawn wagon rides, candle dipping, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, rope making, the apple press will be in operation making fresh cider, and all the historical buildings will be open. Plus, blacksmith demonstrations, felt making demonstrations,story-telling in the schoolhouse, interpreters in the log cabin, cake walks, and local musicians providing music all day long. The educational animals will be on display and they’ll be selling feather extensions to raise money for the Wildlife Department. Admission is $5 per person, kids 3 and under are free. Trunk or Treat - Saturday, October 15, 2011 [noon-2p.] Whistlestop Park. The 7th annual Trunk or Treat event will include activities such as hayrides and entertainment. Treats and Trails – Saturday, October 29. Bring your entire family out for a safe and fun walk along our luminary-lit Sensory Trail and other trails of the ODC Nature Preserve. There will be wildlife encounters, face painting, games and lots of candy. Don’t miss a hayride through the nature preserve or seeing the live birds of prey. The Founders Wildlife Exhibit Hall will be open for exploration and light refreshments. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes.
