I havee been using a 3 inch binder for recipes for about 8 years now. Gradually look thru it and throw away those that I know I will never make. It works so well for recipes off the net. Each recipe has its own page.
PS> I even gave binders to three daughters for a gift one year.

I purchased a larger photo album with the 2 photo per page sleeves in them-- good size for regular recipe cards, but also works for random scraps and folded up full page recipes! I just attached tabs to separate it into sections and it works great.

Yes, this the method I use. My desserts outgrew the original binder, so they get one of their own! I also do this for all my Parenting and Family Fun articles and craft ideas. I used to think it was taboo to tear up my magazines, but it took so long to find what I was looking for. Now, I pull out the next holiday and I'm ready to go.

Type each one as a Word Document! Print off when needed. Ok if it gets wet, etc, easy to give copies to others, one less thing taking up space in cupboards, never lose...

I started a recipe binder last year and it's been great. I go a little further with the organization and type out the "keeper" recipes from magazines or other recipe books so all my go to recipes are in one spot. Very helpful during menu planning.

This is good incentive for me. Though I find most of my recipes online these days, I hate cooking from my iPad. I'd much rather have a piece of paper I can mark up and get wet. So....I have a crazy stack of printouts and tear sheets all in a pile...next to a binder. Today, I will do something about that.
